2013–14 Season Overview

  • Regular Season Record: 48–34, 1st in Atlantic Division, 3rd in Eastern Conference.
  • Playoffs: Lost in Eastern Conference First Round (3–4) to Brooklyn Nets.
  • Head Coach: Dwane Casey.
  • Arena: Air Canada Centre.

The 2013–14 season marked a significant turnaround for the Toronto Raptors. Under the leadership of head coach Dwane Casey, the team clinched the Atlantic Division title and secured a playoff berth for the first time since 2008. The midseason trade that sent Rudy Gay to the Sacramento Kings brought in key contributors like Greivis Vásquez, Patrick Patterson, and John Salmons, who played pivotal roles in the team’s success. DeMar DeRozan emerged as an All-Star, leading the team in scoring, while Kyle Lowry provided strong playmaking and leadership. Although the Raptors’ playoff run ended in a hard-fought seven-game series against the Brooklyn Nets, the season laid a solid foundation for the franchise’s future success.
