The 2024–25 Santa Cruz Warriors leaned heavily on a talented group of NBA-affiliated prospects, with Taran Armstrong emerging as one of the G League’s most creative playmakers and Braxton Key continuing to impact games with his versatile two-way play. Jackson Rowe supplied efficient frontcourt scoring and rebounding, while a rotating cast of Golden State assignments and developmental players kept the roster in flux throughout the season. Rather than relying on a single dominant scorer, Santa Cruz generated offense through ball movement, pace, and depth, remaining competitive in the Western Conference while continuing its role as a key pipeline within the Warriors’ player-development system.

His 30-point, 13-rebound debut with the Sea Dubs immediately showed how much responsibility he could absorb. CBS Sports | NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year (2025) |
| Kevin Knox | Primary Scoring Forward (1.1) | 33.8 | High | 25.3 | 8.9 | 3.1 | 1.5 | 102.43 | Knox operated as a featured scoring forward, comfortable stretching defenses or attacking closeouts. His 39-point performance on 6-of-7 from three against Iowa was an early sign that Santa Cruz was giving him real offensive freedom rather than simply using him as a veteran spacer. Yahoo Sports | NBA G League Player of the Week (2025) |
| Quinten Post | Stretch Five Offensive Hub (1.05) | 29.7 | Medium | 21.7 | 11.7 | 2.8 | 2.0 | 88.24 | Post functioned as a spacing center who could punish smaller lineups inside, while his shooting pulled opposing bigs away from the rim. Yahoo Sports | NBA G League Up Next Game (2025) |
| Pat Spencer | Transition Playmaking Guard (1.05) | 31.7 | Medium | 22.0 | 5.3 | 5.7 | 2.3 | 81.54 | Spencer played with a downhill, transition-oriented mentality and could initiate offense without looking like a conventional pass-first point guard. His 34-point, seven-rebound, six-assist outing against Salt Lake City illustrated the scoring aggression that complemented his playmaking. Sports Illustrated | NBA Rising Stars (2025) |
| Yuri Collins | Franchise Floor General (1.1) | 33.5 | High | 14.6 | 3.6 | 10.6 | 1.6 | 80.26 | Collins was the central organizer of Santa Cruz’s offense, repeatedly controlling tempo and creating advantages with his passing. Local coverage captured that orchestration clearly during a February stretch when he followed a 29-point, 13-assist game with 26 points, 10 assists and four steals. Santa Cruz Sentinel | |
| Trayce Jackson-Davis | Rim-Running Interior Anchor (1.05) | 35.0 | Medium | 22.0 | 8.0 | 2.0 | 4.0 | 75.60 | Jackson-Davis supplied a classic interior presence on assignment, using his size and finishing ability around the basket while protecting the rim defensively. | Jackson Rowe | Starting Two-Way Forward (1.05) | 33.0 | Medium | 16.9 | 7.9 | 2.9 | 2.1 | 68.84 | Rowe’s value came from doing several jobs without forcing possessions: he defended, rebounded, slipped into passing lanes and attacked gaps when opportunities appeared. Warriors coach Nicholas Kerr specifically described him as a smart, tough player who made defensive plays and found pockets on offense. Yahoo Sports | |

His prior NBL and college background included substantial playmaking responsibility, which translated naturally into a secondary creation role with Santa Cruz. Yahoo Sports | |
| Javan Johnson | Movement Shooting Forward (1.05) | 29.1 | Medium | 16.2 | 4.2 | 1.5 | 1.5 | 54.05 | Johnson was most dangerous when moving into open space and firing quickly from deep, but he could also punish defenses when they closed too hard. His 36-point performance against Grand Rapids, including eight threes, showed the ceiling of that movement-shooting role. Santa Cruz Warriors | |
| Donta Scott | Stretch Four Connector (1.05) | 27.5 | Low | 10.0 | 6.0 | 0.9 | 1.1 | 37.80 | Scott filled the connective forward role, spacing the floor while bringing physical rebounding and enough defensive activity to stay useful away from the ball. His 18-point, 10-rebound performance against Grand Rapids was a good example of how his value expanded when his perimeter shot opened the floor. RotoWire | |
| Cameron Parker | Reserve Playmaking Guard (1.0) | 15.6 | Low | 6.6 | 2.2 | 5.3 | 0.4 | 29.00 | Parker’s main responsibility was to organize reserve possessions and create shots for others rather than dominate scoring. | Seth Maxwell | Paint-Oriented Backup Center (1.0) | 20.3 | Low | 5.7 | 6.5 | 0.7 | 1.5 | 28.80 | Maxwell supplied traditional interior-center minutes, emphasizing rebounding, physical screens and rim protection. His second double-double of the season, 14 points and 10 rebounds with two blocks against Grand Rapids, showed the defensive and glass-cleaning value behind the limited offensive usage. Santa Cruz Warriors | Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Year (2023) |
| Marcus Burk | Defensive Scoring Guard (1.0) | 17.1 | Low | 7.3 | 2.1 | 0.8 | 1.1 | 22.60 | Burk worked primarily as an energetic reserve guard, bringing defensive activity and occasional perimeter scoring without needing many designed possessions. He repeatedly supplied short scoring bursts off the bench, including an 11-point contribution during the Grand Rapids game. Santa Cruz Warriors | |
| Alex Gil-Fernandez | Offensive Spark Reserve (1.0) | 14.4 | Low | 5.0 | 2.3 | 1.0 | 1.2 | 19.00 | Gil-Fernandez entered as an experienced reserve guard with a physical style, capable of adding offense without needing a large role. His late-season playoff appearance showed that value again when he supplied an offensive spark from the bench in Santa Cruz’s one-game playoff exit. Santa Cruz Warriors | |
| Cheikh Mbacke Diong | Interior Energy Center (1.0) | 14.3 | Low | 3.2 | 4.6 | 0.3 | 1.0 | 18.20 | Diong’s role was built around physical interior work, particularly rebounding and rim protection rather than offensive creation. He immediately showed that profile after arriving in Santa Cruz, producing a 12-point, six-rebound, three-steal and two-block performance in only his second game. Santa Cruz Warriors | |
| Joey Calcaterra | Perimeter Skill Reserve (1.0) | 6.3 | Low | 1.5 | 0.8 | 0.3 | 0.4 | 6.00 | Calcaterra was used sparingly as a perimeter-oriented reserve, with his previous college reputation built around shooting and secondary ball-handling rather than high-usage creation. Contemporary reporting noted his efficiency at San Diego and his role on UConn’s 2023 championship team before his Santa Cruz stint. Stockton Kings | NCAA Champion (2023) |
