The Ontario Clippers’ 2023-24 season was defined by the organization’s continued emphasis on prospect development, with several members of the Los Angeles Clippers system taking on major responsibilities throughout the year. Ontario finished 15-19 and missed the playoffs, although the club’s underlying numbers were stronger than its record suggested, with a positive net rating and an expected record closer to .500.

Much of the attention centered on the growth of young talent, including Moussa Diabate, Jordan Miller, and Kobe Brown, while Xavier Moon again served as a stabilizing veteran presence when available. Frequent movement between the G League and the NBA affiliate created a constantly evolving rotation, a common feature of the season. Although Ontario was unable to secure a postseason berth, the year functioned as an important developmental stage for several players who were pushing for larger roles within the Clippers organization and professional opportunities beyond the G League.

Brandon Boston Jr. Primary Wing Scorer (1.1) 29.7 High 25.0 5.3 2.7 1.3 90.55 As a downhill scoring wing, Boston was given immediate offensive freedom when assigned to the G League, while his NBA call-ups reflected the Clippers’ view of him as a developing shot-maker. Sports Illustrated
Xavier Moon Lead Shot Creator (1.1) 29.8 High 19.5 5.2 6.3 2.7 88.97 Moon functioned as a compact pick-and-roll initiator who could manufacture his own pull-up offense while organizing the second unit; his 2022 Showcase Cup-winning shot also underscored his late-game confidence. Bleacher Report
Jordan Miller Two-Way Wing Creator (1.1) 30.3 High 18.6 5.6 2.0 1.8 73.92 Miller’s wing value came from more than scoring: contemporary Clippers coverage highlighted his expanded three-point volume, shot creation, rebounding and defensive activity, giving him the profile of a developing 3-and-D creator. 213hoops All-NBA G League Rookie First Team (2024)
Moussa Diabate Rim-Running Defensive Anchor (1.1) 32.2 High 15.2 10.0 1.6 3.2 72.60 Diabate’s role centered on energy, rim pressure and defensive versatility rather than perimeter creation; independent Clippers coverage specifically noted his ability to defend on the perimeter while his offensive skill set remained less developed. Yahoo Sports
Kobe Brown Point-Forward Connector (1.05) 31.5 Medium 13.8 7.5 4.3 1.8 63.29 Brown operated as a versatile forward who could rebound, facilitate and make plays without dominating the ball. Reporting around his development emphasized his willingness to make winning plays and his ability to contribute beyond scoring. Hoops Rumors
Brodric Thomas Secondary Wing Creator (1.05) 25.9 Medium 12.1 4.0 4.0 1.9 50.82 Thomas brought prior NBA and G League experience to a young Clippers group, functioning as a scoring wing who could also handle the ball and make connective plays rather than serving purely as a spot-up shooter. ClutchPoints
Joshua Primo Developing Combo Guard (1.05) 25.0 Medium 13.8 3.0 2.6 1.6 48.51 Primo’s G League assignment gave him a larger developmental role, with reporting noting a sustained stretch of double-digit scoring and opportunities to handle more responsibility than he received with the NBA club. CBS Sports
Bryson Williams Starting Interior Scorer (1.05) 23.1 Medium 9.9 5.8 1.1 1.5 38.43 Williams supplied physical interior offense and frontcourt depth while stretching defenses selectively from outside; his value in this setting was largely tied to efficient finishing and occupying bigger defensive matchups. Limited independent season-specific coverage was available.
George King Veteran Floor-Spacer (1.05) 26.1 Medium 10.8 3.9 1.4 1.2 36.33 King served as an experienced wing option whose offensive identity was built around perimeter shooting and spacing, with enough size to contribute on the glass and defend multiple positions. Limited independent contemporary coverage was available.
Elijah Harkless Defensive Utility Guard (1.05) 16.0 Medium 10.7 3.1 0.6 1.1 32.55 Harkless was primarily a defensive-minded guard whose value came from point-of-attack pressure and activity; later reporting on his development repeatedly identified defense as a defining part of his game. Utah Jazz
Joey Hauser Stretch-Four Reserve (1.0) 21.5 Medium 8.3 3.4 0.8 0.6 26.20 Hauser’s clearest lineup function was perimeter spacing from the frontcourt, with his shooting allowing him to operate as a floor-spacing big rather than a high-touch interior scorer. Limited independent season-specific coverage was available.
Dewayne Dedmon Veteran Backup Center (1.0) 13.0 Low 5.2 4.5 1.4 1.1 24.40 Dedmon provided veteran interior depth and a traditional center presence, with his role focused on screening, rebounding and finishing around the basket rather than offensive initiation. Limited independent season-specific coverage was available.
Warith Alatishe Energy Rebounder (1.0) 14.6 Low 4.9 4.0 0.7 2.2 23.60 Alatishe’s impact came from high-motor frontcourt work: offensive rebounding, defensive activity and rim protection made him useful without requiring designed scoring opportunities. Limited independent season-specific coverage was available.
Josh Hagins Backup Point Guard (1.0) 17.9 Low 3.8 2.4 4.4 1.0 23.20 Hagins functioned as a stabilizing ball-handler, with his responsibilities centered on organizing possessions and creating for teammates rather than pursuing his own scoring volume. Limited independent season-specific coverage was available.
Djordjije Jovanovic Perimeter Shooting Reserve (1.0) 18.2 Low 5.6 2.1 1.1 0.8 19.20 Jovanovic’s role was primarily perimeter-oriented, giving the lineup another shooting option while carrying a relatively modest creation burden. Limited independent season-specific coverage was available.
Nate Darling Deep Reserve Shooter (1.0) 0.0 Low 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.00 Darling had no meaningful playing time in this sample, so there is insufficient season-specific evidence to characterize a substantial on-court role beyond reserve shooting depth.

Xavier Moon Lead Pick-and-Roll Creator (1.1) 32.6 High 20.1 4.5 6.1 2.9 88.70 Moon operated as the primary ball-handler, repeatedly putting pressure on defenses with his pull-up game and pick-and-roll creation. His 6.1 assists paired with 2.9 combined steals and blocks show how much of the offense ran through the veteran guard. Independent contemporary coverage is limited. Scout Basketball
Kobe Brown Point-Forward Playmaker (1.1) 32.1 High 19.2 6.9 5.5 1.8 88.18 Brown’s role went well beyond scoring: he was used as a passing forward who could initiate possessions, rebound and make reads from the frontcourt. A January win over Greensboro featured his triple-double, illustrating the Clippers’ willingness to put the ball in his hands as a creator. Los Angeles Times
Jordan Miller Two-Way Wing Creator (1.1) 30.3 High 22.5 6.7 2.1 1.5 86.59 Miller functioned as a featured scoring wing while still supplying rebounding and defensive activity. His development fit the Clippers’ plan to build young depth around complementary skill sets, and his rookie G League campaign ultimately earned league-wide recognition.
