The Thunder concluded the 2009–10 regular season with a 50–32 record, finishing 4th in the Northwest Division and 8th in the Western Conference. They qualified for the playoffs but were eliminated in the first round by the Los Angeles Lakers in six games. Kevin Durant led the league in scoring with 30.1 points per game, while Russell Westbrook contributed 16.1 points and 8.0 assists per game. Rookie James Harden added 9.9 points per game off the bench. The team’s strong performance marked a significant improvement from the previous season.
