The passing is better than the raw assist numbers suggest because she can see the next window when she gets two defenders committed, but she isn’t a natural table-setter who should be organizing every possession. Defensively, James competes with her hands and can bother ballhandlers by crowding their space, yet she can also get caught reaching or chasing the play rather than sitting down and making the initial action uncomfortable.
