The Charlotte Bobcats 2004–05 inaugural season was built around Rookie of the Year Emeka Okafor, whose rebounding, interior scoring, and rim protection established him as the franchise’s cornerstone. Primož Brezec supplied efficient frontcourt scoring, while Gerald Wallace emerged as a versatile two-way contributor with an impact across multiple areas of the game. Despite a competitive defensive foundation, Charlotte struggled to generate consistent offense during its expansion campaign.
