The 1960–61 Los Angeles Lakers were driven by the outstanding offensive production of Elgin Baylor, whose scoring, rebounding, and playmaking made him the clear focal point of the team. Jerry West emerged as a major secondary scorer and creator, while Rudy LaRusso added reliable frontcourt scoring and rebounding. The Lakers combined high-powered perimeter offense with strong work on the glass, relying heavily on their star talent to generate consistent production.
