The San Antonio Spurs 1987–88 season featured a high-powered offense led by Alvin Robertson, whose scoring, playmaking, rebounding, and elite perimeter defense made him the team’s driving force. Johnny Dawkins provided steady ball distribution, while Frank Brickowski supplied efficient interior scoring and rebounding. The Spurs played at one of the league’s fastest paces and generated plenty of offense, but persistent defensive struggles undermined their overall success despite earning a playoff berth.
