The 1947–48 New York Knicks featured a balanced offence led by Carl Braun, with Bud Palmer and Sonny Hertzberg providing important secondary scoring. Connie Simmons added versatile frontcourt production, while Harry Gallatin established himself as the team’s primary rebounder and interior presence. The Knicks combined one of the league’s stronger offences with solid overall defence, although inconsistent shooting efficiency limited their ability to convert scoring opportunities consistently.
