During his collegiate career at the University of Utah, Taylor was recognized for his defensive prowess and three-point shooting. In the 2014-2015 season, he was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team and received an honorable mention for the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team. He also earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team. Taylor started all 35 games that season, averaging 10.6 points per game and leading the team with 82 three-pointers, which ranked third in the conference with a 43.9% shooting percentage from beyond the arc.
After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft, Taylor embarked on an international professional career, playing in various countries including Hungary, Romania, Italy, France, China, and Spain. In the 2023-2024 season, he played for Baxi Manresa in Spain’s Liga Endesa, averaging 8.5 points, 3.1 assists, and 1.9 rebounds per game over 35 games. In August 2024, Taylor signed with Leyma Coruña, a team set to debut in the Liga Endesa for the 2024-2025 season.
