Huertas began his professional career in Brazil before moving to Europe, where he played for several top clubs in Spain and Italy. In 2015, he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, becoming one of the oldest rookies in NBA history at age 32. After two seasons in the NBA, he returned to Spain and currently plays for CB Canarias, where he serves as team captain.
