The Atlanta Hawks 1971–72 relied on Lou Hudson and Pete Maravich to drive the offence, with both serving as the team’s primary scoring threats while Maravich also handled much of the playmaking. Jim Washington anchored the frontcourt with strong rebounding and interior production, and Walt Bellamy added efficient scoring inside.
