The St. Louis Hawks 1961–62 were powered by Bob Pettit, whose scoring and rebounding remained the foundation of the team’s success. Cliff Hagan provided reliable secondary offense, while Lenny Wilkens handled the primary playmaking duties and contributed across the board. Zelmo Beaty strengthened the frontcourt with efficient interior scoring and rebounding, giving the Hawks a balanced lineup that combined strong inside production with steady ball movement and multiple offensive contributors.
