The 1987–88 Sacramento Kings were led offensively by Reggie Theus, whose scoring and playmaking made him the focal point of the attack, while Otis Thorpe and LaSalle Thompson provided productive frontcourt scoring and rebounding. Kenny Smith added ball distribution from the backcourt, giving the team another reliable creator.
