The 1965–66 New York Knicks were led by Willis Reed, whose scoring and rebounding made him the clear focal point of the frontcourt, while Dick Barnett supplied consistent perimeter offense. Howard Komives handled much of the playmaking duties, and Walt Bellamy provided additional interior scoring and rebounding after joining the team. Despite strong individual production, the Knicks lacked overall balance and defensive consistency, contributing to another losing season.
