The 2014–15 Brooklyn Nets finished the season with a 38–44 record, earning the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference, where they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Atlanta Hawks. Brook Lopez was the team’s leading scorer and top performer throughout the season. Thaddeus Young provided a strong presence in the frontcourt, while Jarrett Jack and Deron Williams provided the backcourt leadership. Mason Plumlee had a solid second year and showed promise as a future contributor.
