The 1984–85 New Jersey Nets featured a balanced offence led by Mike Gminski and Otis Birdsong, while Buck Williams dominated the boards and provided dependable interior scoring. Micheal Ray Richardson served as the team’s primary playmaker and defensive catalyst, creating opportunities at both ends of the floor. The Nets’ strengths were rebounding and ball distribution, but inconsistent shooting efficiency limited their offensive consistency.
