The 1972–73 Seattle SuperSonics revolved around Spencer Haywood, whose elite scoring and rebounding made him the clear focal point on both ends of the floor. Fred Brown supplied secondary scoring while serving as the team’s primary playmaker, and the supporting cast contributed balanced production around them. The statistics indicate a team that relied heavily on its frontcourt star but struggled to generate an efficient offence consistently enough to offset defensive shortcomings.
