The Utah Flash’s 2010–11 season further cemented the franchise’s reputation as one of the NBA D-League’s model organizations. Coming off a league-best regular season the year before, Utah again fielded a deep and competitive roster, finishing near the top of the Western Conference and earning another playoff appearance. The Flash benefited from strong continuity, with veterans such as Sundiata Gaines and C.J. Miles contributing during their time with the club, while the organization’s close ties to the Utah Jazz continued to provide developmental opportunities for NBA-affiliated talent. Rather than relying on a single standout performer, the Flash succeeded through depth, disciplined play, and a roster capable of absorbing the constant movement common in the D-League. Although a championship remained elusive, the season reinforced Utah’s standing as a perennial contender and one of the league’s most consistent winners.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Orien Greene | Two-Way Lead Guard (1.1) | 35.0 | High | 16.6 | 5.3 | 5.0 | 2.4 | 77.4 | Two-way lead guard who carried major creation duties while setting the tone defensively. Greene’s 5.0 assists and 1.9 steals fit a disruptive, ball-pressure style, and his season included an NBA call-up after he helped drive Utah’s offense; he also delivered 20 points in the Flash’s February winning streak. Deseret News | All-NBA D-League Second Team; All-Defensive First Team; NBA D-League West All-Star Selection |
| Ronald Dupree | Veteran Two-Way Forward (1.1) | 32.7 | High | 15.2 | 5.7 | 3.0 | 1.4 | 66.8 | Veteran two-way forward functioning as a physical scorer, rebounder and defensive matchup piece. Dupree’s value went beyond his scoring load; his size allowed Utah to play through him inside, and he produced a 17-point, 11-rebound performance during the Flash’s seven-game winning streak. Salt Lake Tribune | All-Defensive Second Team |
| Brandon Costner | Stretch Scoring Forward (1.05) | 26.8 | High | 15.1 | 5.9 | 1.9 | 1.1 | 60.5 | Stretch scoring forward whose perimeter willingness complemented a strong rebounding presence. Utah deliberately targeted Costner in the 2010 D-League Draft, and his ability to score from inside and outside made him one of the Flash’s principal offensive outlets. OurSportsCentral | — |
| Tony Gaffney | Defensive Playmaking Forward (1.05) | 28.6 | Medium | 10.5 | 7.1 | 2.3 | 3.7 | 54.5 | Defensive playmaking forward who could change possessions without needing a large scoring role. Gaffney’s 2.3 blocks and 1.4 steals per game point to an unusually active defensive presence, while his January arrival gave Utah another athletic frontcourt defender during the second half of the season. Blazer’s Edge | All-Defensive First Team |
| Kevin Kruger | Floor-General Shooter (1.05) | 35.1 | High | 13.6 | 2.6 | 4.4 | 0.9 | 54.2 | Floor-general shooter who organized Utah’s offense while stretching defenses with high-volume three-point shooting. He was already viewed as a leader and coach-on-the-floor before the season, and his 4.4 assists alongside 5.2 three-point attempts reflect that dual responsibility. Deseret News | — |
| Jeremy Evans | Rim-Running Defensive Specialist (1.0) | 32.0 | Low | 10.5 | 8.5 | 3.5 | 4.0 | 53.0 | Rim-running defensive specialist whose tiny two-game assignment still showed an explosive interior profile. Evans supplied 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game in the sample, while Utah viewed his athleticism and shot-blocking as his clearest immediate NBA tools. Deseret News | — |
| Andre Ingram | Movement Shooting Wing (1.05) | 29.2 | Medium | 13.0 | 3.3 | 2.0 | 0.9 | 44.4 | Movement shooting wing who provided reliable spacing and secondary scoring rather than dominating the ball. Ingram remained a trusted veteran presence for the Flash, and his efficient 45.5% three-point shooting made him particularly useful when Utah’s primary creators drew defensive attention. Los Angeles Times | — |
| Ryan Thompson | Slashing Two-Way Wing (1.05) | 24.5 | Medium | 11.0 | 2.8 | 1.3 | 1.1 | 37.4 | Slashing two-way wing who entered the season as a highly regarded athletic swingman after going undrafted. His Utah role was more complementary than his college workload, but he could attack closeouts and provide scoring bursts, including 15 points off the bench during the Flash’s February winning streak. Deseret News | — |
| Bennet Davis | Interior Rotation Forward (1.0) | 25.6 | Medium | 8.6 | 6.1 | 0.9 | 1.4 | 34.0 | Interior rotation forward whose value came primarily from physical rebounding and frontcourt stability. Davis entered the season with established D-League experience and had already earned selection to the league’s Summer League Select team, giving Utah a dependable interior option even as his offensive role narrowed. Deseret News | — |
| Brian Hamilton | Energy Forward (1.0) | 22.4 | Medium | 8.2 | 4.7 | 1.7 | 1.9 | 33.0 | Energy forward who filled gaps with activity, rebounding and defensive pressure rather than demanding possessions. Hamilton was a longtime Flash returner who originally made the team through an open tryout, and his 1.7 steals and 1.7 assists illustrate the connective role he continued to play. Detroit Pistons | — |
| Lance Allred | Physical Interior Veteran (1.0) | 23.1 | Medium | 7.1 | 7.0 | 1.0 | 0.9 | 32.0 | Physical interior veteran used to supply rebounding, screens and low-post toughness in a short seven-game sample. His 7.0 rebounds in just 23.1 minutes suggest a clear glass-cleaning function, while his long professional résumé made him a natural stabilizing presence for a developmental roster. | — |
| Pape Sy | Defensive Wing Connector (1.0) | 22.0 | Low | 8.0 | 3.4 | 1.3 | 0.3 | 26.0 | Defensive wing connector whose Utah stint was primarily about regaining rhythm after an injury-disrupted rookie start. Assigned to the Flash after missing Atlanta’s first 18 games, Sy started 11 of his 23 appearances and showed enough two-way utility to earn a return to the Hawks in March. Atlanta Hawks | — |
| Anthony Harris | Short-Burst Combo Guard (1.0) | 15.3 | Low | 6.3 | 2.9 | 2.9 | 0.3 | 24.8 | Short-burst combo guard whose late-season Utah stint was too brief to establish a major rotation identity. His 2.9 assists in 15.3 minutes suggest a secondary ball-handling function, but the seven-game sample calls for caution about projecting a larger role. RealGM | — |
| Dontell Jefferson | Reserve Playmaking Guard (1.0) | 21.0 | Low | 6.5 | 0.0 | 5.0 | 1.0 | 23.2 | Reserve playmaking guard used in a very small two-game sample, with ball distribution clearly more important than scoring. The five assists per game show his ability to organize possessions, although the limited appearances make this more of a situational snapshot than a sustained role evaluation. OurSportsCentral | — |
| Nkem Ojougboh | Rim-Protection Reserve (1.0) | 16.4 | Low | 4.6 | 4.1 | 0.9 | 1.7 | 22.6 | Rim-protection reserve who carved out a defensive identity around the basket. His 1.2 blocks per game and 4.1 rebounds fit a straightforward interior role, while his professional debut came only after arriving in Utah in December following a delayed start to his rookie season. Northeastern University | — |
| Amadou Mbodji | Shot-Blocking Frontcourt Reserve (1.0) | 15.3 | Low | 5.0 | 3.5 | 0.3 | 1.5 | 20.6 | Shot-blocking frontcourt reserve whose four-game sample was built around efficient interior finishing and rim deterrence. The 1.5 blocks per game stand out, but the small workload makes his role best understood as a situational defensive option rather than a stable rotation centerpiece. | — |
| Charles Garcia | Scoring Frontcourt Depth Piece (1.0) | 10.6 | Low | 5.9 | 2.7 | 0.6 | 0.3 | 19.0 | Scoring frontcourt depth piece who spent only a short stretch with Utah before moving elsewhere during the season. His role was offense-first in limited minutes, with the 9.2 points per game he had averaged at Northeastern helping explain why Utah viewed him as a potential scoring option rather than a defensive specialist. Wikipedia† | — |
| Jordan Brady | Rebounding Energy Reserve (1.0) | 11.9 | Low | 3.8 | 3.4 | 0.5 | 0.7 | 16.8 | Rebounding energy reserve who could provide physical effort in short stretches. Brady’s Flash tenure included a notable early-season role, and his ability to rebound and finish around the basket was useful when Utah needed frontcourt energy without shifting its primary offensive structure. KSL.com | — |
| Longar Longar | Low-Post Reserve Big (1.0) | 15.0 | Low | 2.3 | 2.3 | 0.7 | 0.7 | 12.0 | Low-post reserve big brought in specifically to strengthen Utah’s interior defense and scoring depth. The Flash valued his ability to defend inside while also stepping away from the basket, but his stay lasted only three games before he was waived in December. Salt Lake Tribune | — |
| Carlos Medlock | Instant-Offense Guard Reserve (1.0) | 6.0 | Low | 2.0 | 0.0 | 0.5 | 0.5 | 6.0 | Instant-offense guard reserve who received only two appearances, leaving too little runway for a meaningful sustained-role assessment. His background as a high-volume scorer at Eastern Michigan made him a logical developmental scoring option, but Utah ultimately used him sparingly. Eastern Michigan University | — |

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Orien Greene | Two-Way Lead Guard (1.1) | 38.0 | High (1.2) | 18.3 | 6.3 | 7.0 | 3.7 | 100.32 | Two-way lead guard and primary organizer, Greene combined downhill creation with disruptive perimeter defense. His postseason workload expanded into a genuine offensive-command role, while his defensive activity remained a major part of his value; the regular season had already established him as one of Utah’s central players during a seven-game winning streak. | Kevin Kruger | Franchise Floor General (1.1) | 37.3 | High (1.2) | 14.7 | 4.7 | 5.7 | 1.3 | 69.70 | Floor-general shooter who handled the offense while creating space from deep. Kruger’s postseason role was especially ball-dominant, with his shooting threat forcing defenses to chase him beyond the arc; his ability to operate the half court was already a defining part of his Flash identity. | — |
| Nkem Ojougboh | Rim-Protecting Centerpiece (1.05) | 27.7 | Medium (1.1) | 12.0 | 12.3 | 1.7 | 4.0 | 69.30 | Rim-protecting centerpiece who became much more prominent once the playoffs began. Ojougboh’s interior activity translated into a huge rebounding presence and constant shot-blocking pressure, giving Utah a physical defensive backbone while also finishing efficiently around the rim. Limited contemporary independent coverage was available for the postseason stint. OurSportsCentral | — |
| Andre Ingram | Perimeter Shooting Specialist (1.05) | 29.0 | Medium (1.1) | 16.0 | 3.7 | 1.7 | 0.0 | 49.43 | Perimeter shooting specialist whose postseason offense depended on spacing, movement and quick-release scoring rather than defensive disruption. Ingram’s long Flash tenure established him as a highly trusted shooter, and that skill remained central when Utah’s playoff possessions tightened. Los Angeles Times | — |
| Ronald Dupree | Physical Wing Scorer (1.05) | 24.5 | Medium (1.1) | 14.0 | 5.5 | 1.5 | 0.0 | 48.51 | Physical wing scorer whose playoff role leaned on strength, interior attacks and rebounding rather than perimeter shooting. Dupree was already one of Utah’s principal veterans during the 28-22 regular season, and his postseason scoring gave the Flash another option when their primary guards were pressured. The Salt Lake Tribune | NBA D-League All-Defensive Second Team (2011) |
| Brandon Costner | Interior Scoring Forward (1.05) | 14.0 | Low (1.0) | 9.0 | 10.0 | 0.0 | 0.0 | 39.90 | Interior scoring forward who immediately attacked the glass and created second-chance opportunities in his lone playoff appearance. Costner had been one of Utah’s key regular-season offensive pieces, including a 27-point, 11-rebound performance during the late-season playoff push, so his interior scoring remained a useful secondary weapon. Deseret News | — |
| Tony Gaffney | Defensive Playmaking Forward (1.05) | 27.3 | Medium (1.1) | 9.0 | 2.7 | 1.7 | 3.7 | 39.50 | Defensive playmaking forward who could swing possessions with blocks, steals and athletic finishes. Gaffney’s postseason responsibilities centered on defensive versatility, and his ability to guard, rebound and finish above the rim made him one of Utah’s most distinctive matchup pieces. Blazer’s Edge | NBA D-League All-Defensive First Team (2011) |
| Brian Hamilton | Energy Wing Forward (1.0) | 23.7 | Medium (1.1) | 10.7 | 2.0 | 1.7 | 1.4 | 33.18 | Energy wing forward who supplied physical effort without needing a large share of possessions. Hamilton’s Flash career was built from an open tryout, and by this playoff run he remained a useful activity piece who could defend, move the ball and provide scoring bursts when the rotation needed them. KSL.com | — |
| Ryan Thompson | Slashing Wing Creator (1.0) | 22.0 | Medium (1.1) | 9.3 | 3.3 | 2.0 | 0.3 | 31.29 | Slashing wing creator who gave Utah athletic perimeter offense without becoming a primary possession-holder. His postseason role remained complementary, with cutting, transition play and secondary creation more important than isolation scoring; he also opened the postseason run as a starting-caliber athletic option. KSL.com | — |
| Jordan Brady | Frontcourt Connector (1.0) | 13.7 | Low (1.0) | 5.0 | 4.0 | 2.0 | 0.7 | 23.40 | Frontcourt connector used in short stretches to add rebounding, passing and physicality. Brady’s small playoff sample limits any broad conclusion, but the combination of four rebounds and two assists in 13.7 minutes fits the low-usage, connective role he occupied within Utah’s rotation. Limited contemporary independent coverage was available for this brief postseason assignment. | — |
