The 2007–08 Brooklyn Nets season was driven by Vince Carter, whose scoring, playmaking, and all-around production made him the focal point of the offense. Richard Jefferson provided consistent secondary scoring, while Jason Kidd directed the attack before his midseason departure. Nenad Krstić and Bostjan Nachbar added frontcourt support, but the team’s rebounding and defensive production lacked consistency, limiting the effectiveness of its veteran-led offense.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vince Carter | Starter/Star (1.1) | 38.9 | High (1.2) | 21.3 | 6.0 | 5.1 | 1.6 | 89.8 | Primary offensive star who blended scoring and playmaking in one of the most complete seasons of his Nets tenure. Carter handled late-game creation, attacked mismatches from the wing and quietly averaged over five assists while carrying a heavy workload. | NBA All-Star (2000-2007) |
| Richard Jefferson | Starter/Star (1.1) | 39.0 | High (1.2) | 22.6 | 4.2 | 3.1 | 1.2 | 81.3 | Slashing forward who spent much of the season as New Jersey’s most consistent scorer. Jefferson relentlessly attacked the rim, earned frequent trips to the foul line and produced a career-best scoring average before being traded the following summer. | NBA Rookie Challenge Participant (2002) |
| Jason Kidd | Starter/Star (1.1) | 37.2 | High (1.2) | 11.3 | 8.1 | 10.4 | 1.8 | 83.4 | Master facilitator who still controlled games through tempo, vision and rebounding from the point guard spot. Even late in his Nets run, Kidd remained one of the league’s premier table-setters and recorded another season averaging double-digit assists. | NBA All-Star (2008), All-NBA Third Team (2008), NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2008) |
| Devin Harris | Starter/Star (1.1) | 33.5 | Medium (1.1) | 15.4 | 3.3 | 6.5 | 1.7 | 64.4 | Speed-driven lead guard who immediately injected pace after arriving in the Jason Kidd trade. Harris pushed the ball aggressively, got downhill in pick-and-roll actions and showed flashes of becoming the franchise’s next backcourt centerpiece. | — |
| Josh Boone | Key Contributor (1.05) | 25.3 | Medium (1.1) | 8.2 | 7.3 | 0.8 | 1.4 | 40.1 | Rim-running big man whose value came from rebounding, finishing and interior defense. Boone’s efficiency around the basket complemented a roster built around perimeter creators. | — |
| Boštjan Nachbar | Key Contributor (1.05) | 22.1 | Medium (1.1) | 9.8 | 3.5 | 1.2 | 0.9 | 35.8 | Stretch forward who supplied valuable spacing off the bench and often punished defenses that collapsed on New Jersey’s stars. His outside shooting remained a key part of the second-unit offense. | — |
| Sean Williams | Key Contributor (1.05) | 17.5 | Low (1.0) | 5.6 | 4.4 | 0.4 | 1.9 | 25.0 | Athletic shot-blocker who brought instant defensive energy whenever he entered the game. His length and timing around the rim frequently changed possessions despite limited offensive involvement. | NBA Rookie Challenge Participant (2008) |
| Antoine Wright | Key Contributor (1.05) | 25.8 | Low (1.0) | 7.3 | 3.0 | 1.6 | 1.0 | 27.1 | Defensive-minded wing who handled difficult perimeter assignments while contributing spot-up scoring. His role was largely complementary next to the Nets’ high-usage stars. | — |
| Nenad Krstić | Key Contributor (1.05) | 18.0 | Low (1.0) | 6.6 | 4.4 | 0.6 | 0.6 | 25.6 | Skilled offensive center working his way back from a major knee injury. The touch around the basket was still evident, although his minutes and mobility were more limited than before the injury. | NBA Rookie Challenge Participant (2005), NBA All-Rookie Second Team (2005) |
