The Canton Charge followed their trip to the NBA D-League Finals the previous season with another strong campaign in 2014-15, finishing 31-19 and securing a fourth consecutive playoff appearance. The roster blended experienced D-League contributors with Cleveland Cavaliers affiliates, reflecting the increasingly close connection between the two organizations. Kevin Jones remained one of the league’s most reliable forwards and earned All-NBA D-League First Team honors, while Shawn Marion briefly appeared on assignment during his return from retirement attempt and rehabilitation process. Guards Joe Harris and Dwight Buycks also played important roles as Canton once again ranked among the league’s better teams. Despite another successful regular season, the Charge were unable to make a deep postseason run, falling in the opening round and bringing an otherwise productive season to an early close.
