The Ciudad de México Capitanes continued to strengthen their place within the NBA G League in 2025-26, pairing experienced professionals with emerging talent in another competitive campaign. Unlike many G League teams built primarily around NBA assignments, the Capitanes again leaned into their international identity, assembling a roster that reflected the organization’s unique position as the league’s representative in Mexico. Veteran leadership and continuity helped keep the club in the playoff picture, while several players used the season to enhance their profiles for opportunities in larger leagues. Beyond the win-loss record, the year reinforced the Capitanes’ distinct role within the G League, serving as both a destination for accomplished international players and a pathway for prospects seeking advancement on a North American stage.
