The 1955–56 New York Knicks were led by Carl Braun, whose scoring and playmaking anchored the backcourt, while Harry Gallatin remained the team’s primary rebounder and interior defender. Dick McGuire directed the offense with his passing, and Ray Felix supplied additional frontcourt scoring and rebounding. The Knicks relied on balanced contributions and ball movement, but inconsistent overall production and defensive play contributed to a below-.500 season.
