The Sacramento Kings 2008–09 relied on Kevin Martin as their clear offensive focal point, with John Salmons providing secondary scoring, playmaking and efficient perimeter shooting. Beno Udrih directed the offence, while Brad Miller, Spencer Hawes and rookie Jason Thompson supplied rebounding and interior production. Despite a respectable scoring output and balanced frontcourt contributions, weak defence and an inability to consistently prevent opponents from scoring undermined the team’s overall performance.
