The 1986–87 Portland Trail Blazers featured one of the NBA’s highest-powered offenses, built around Kiki Vandeweghe’s elite scoring and Clyde Drexler’s all-around production as a scorer, playmaker, rebounder, and disruptive defender. Terry Porter directed the attack with outstanding passing, while the team thrived at a fast pace and efficient offensive level. Defence was comparatively less consistent, contributing to a more balanced overall profile than its explosive attack suggested.
