The 1975–76 New York Knicks were powered by Bob McAdoo’s elite scoring and rebounding, making him the clear focal point of the offense after joining the team. Walt Frazier continued to direct play from the backcourt with his passing and defensive impact, while Earl Monroe and Spencer Haywood added experienced scoring support. Despite impressive individual production, New York lacked defensive consistency and overall balance, resulting in a below-.500 campaign.
