The 1978–79 Seattle SuperSonics relied on a balanced attack led by Dennis Johnson and Jack Sikma, with Gus Williams and Fred Brown providing additional scoring and playmaking. Sikma anchored the glass, while Johnson’s all-around production and defensive impact helped define a team that won with disciplined defence rather than explosive offence, combining strong rebounding, shared ball movement, and efficient contributions across a deep rotation.
