The Phoenix Suns 2008–09 were led by Amar’e Stoudemire’s efficient interior scoring and rebounding, while Steve Nash remained the engine of the offence with elite playmaking and outstanding shooting efficiency. Shaquille O’Neal provided a strong interior presence, and Jason Richardson added reliable perimeter scoring after arriving during the season. Phoenix excelled offensively through ball movement and efficient shooting, but inconsistent defence prevented the team from fully capitalising on its offensive strengths.
