The first thing you notice isn’t the jumper itself—it’s how naturally he flows into it, trailing the break, lifting from the dunker spot to the wing, or drifting behind pick-and-roll action to make the defense choose between protecting the rim and conceding an open three. He doesn’t need many dribbles to be productive, and that’s part of his appeal. When defenders close out recklessly, he’ll put the ball on the floor just enough to reach the middle of the lane, where he can finish with touch or deliver a simple pass to a cutter after drawing the low man. That’s where his game becomes more valuable than the raw scoring suggests. He isn’t built to create offense from isolation or repeatedly back defenders down on the block, and physical interior defenders can push him away from his preferred spots when possessions slow into half-court wrestling matches.
