The 1986–87 Los Angeles Lakers showcased a dominant, well-rounded offense built around Magic Johnson’s elite playmaking and scoring, with James Worthy and Byron Scott providing efficient perimeter production. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar remained a dependable interior scorer, while A.C. Green controlled the glass and Michael Cooper added defensive value and secondary playmaking. Excellent shooting efficiency, balanced scoring, strong rebounding, and unselfish ball movement defined one of the league’s most complete teams.
