Jaren Jackson Jr. has been one of my favorite centers since he entered the NBA. It took a while before the Grizzlies were willing to play him 30+ minutes per game, even when there were no signs of injury. I then worried that we might never see him properly healthy because the Grizzlies had him on minute restrictions for a reason I didn’t know about. Thankfully, during the 2023-24 season, Jackson Jr. easily averaged over 30 minutes per game, and it looks like the Grizzlies had full faith in his body again. Jackson Jr. is an excellent shot-blocker and one of the best protectors of the paint. I always thought Jackson Jr. was drafted too late at 4th overall. I still feel that way.
