Player Overview: Ben Wallace is one of my favorite centers of all time because he was such a good defender. I like a center that can run and change direction quickly. One of the advantages of being a shorter center is that you’re usually quicker up and down the floor and more agile and explosive. That’s exactly what Ben Wallace was and he used all of those features to his advantage. Thankfully, Ben Wallace played on a Detroit Pistons team known for its defensive prowess. Though he was shorter than the average center, arguably Wallace’s biggest strength was his rebounding. 2/21/2025
