The Miami Heat have focussed on adding players that can stretch the floor such as Duncan Robinson and Nikola Jovic, but they lack toughness compared to Jaime Jaquez Jr. Bam will appreciate the toughness that Jaime Jaquez Jr. brings.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. is not only a good basketball player; he’s also exactly what the Miami Heat need. They lacked a power forward who plays with power. A front court combination of Bam Adebayo and Jaime Jaquez Jr. is very good for the Heat.

That said, I would favor Jovic starting alongside Adebayo with Jaquez Jr. coming off the bench. The upside of Jovic is immense, and I think he has more upside than Jaquez Jr. If Jovic were to become that good, he too would make a great starter. The original comment was related to the current Caleb Martin as the starter. That said, I like Caleb Martin. He reminds me of a better/more athletic Dillon Brooks. Martin is shorter than Brooks and is ideally a SF.
