The 1962–63 New York Knicks leaned on Richie Guerin as their primary offensive engine, with his scoring and playmaking driving the backcourt. Johnny Green anchored the frontcourt with strong rebounding and interior production, while Willie Naulls and Cleveland Buckner added complementary scoring. Despite receiving balanced contributions from several regulars, the Knicks struggled defensively and lacked the overall efficiency needed to consistently compete throughout the season.
