  • Dave Cowens was the definition of having a good motor in basketball. He always worked hard and always gave 100% effort on the basketball court. The tremendous work ethic he displayed helped him win the NBA MVP award in 1973. Cowens was also known for his very good post moves and was strong in scoring around the basket.
  • Cowens spent the vast majority of his career playing for the Boston Celtics and spent his last season before retiring with the Milwaukee Bucks.
