Cheryl Miller is widely regarded as one of the greatest women’s basketball players of all time. However, she never played professionally in the WNBA or any other major pro league, as the WNBA was founded in 1996, after her playing career had ended. Her playing career was cut short by a severe knee injury in 1986.
