I see some Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in Bones Hyland, a player who was just waived by the Clippers. The Clippers were the team that traded for SGA, but it wasn’t because they loved him; the package was mostly for draft picks. I think the Clippers will regret letting Bones go. It takes a bit of luck to find yourself in the right situation to succeed in the NBA though, and opportunity isn’t necessarily going to come soon for Bones. Today he was picked up on waivers by the Atlanta Hawks.
