The 1986–87 Atlanta Hawks achieved a franchise-best regular season record of 57–25, finishing first in the NBA’s Central Division. They advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, defeating the Indiana Pacers 3–1 in the First Round before falling to the Detroit Pistons 4–1 in the Semifinals.
