Anthony Avent was a strong basketball player who reminded me of Vin Baker in terms of his position, size, strength, and playing style. Avent’s career spanned most of the 90s, many people’s favorite NBA era. I thought Anthony Avent could have been better used in the NBA than he was. Ironically, both Avent and Baker played for the Bucks at the same time for two years until Baker took Avent’s role and Avent left for Orlando. There wasn’t much space there for Avent’s talent either because Orlando had a long history of big men in the 90s which included Shaquille O’Neal and Horace Grant.
Notes:
- Similar players to Anthony Avent include Vin Baker.
