Courtney Lee was a valuable role player on the New Jersey Nets early in his career. I viewed him as the type of player every general manager tries to fill out their roster with: he was hard-working, reliable, and offered very good value relative to his contract. He fit in well with the Nets but was ultimately traded to the Houston Rockets the following season. Things weren’t ever quite the same in Houston nor did they improve much in Boston. Thankfully, he was valued in Memphis and again in New York playing for the Knicks later in his career.
