Jaylen Wells played one season of basketball for Washington State and averaged 12.6 points per game before declaring for the NBA draft. He was drafted in the second round (39th overall) by the Memphis Grizzlies who were in need of a wing, though given the depth the Grizzlies have, I’m not expecting Wells to have much of an impact during his rookie season. Currently, the Grizzlies have Desmond Bane as the starting SF and Marcus Smart as the starting SG. I would like to see Bane as the SG and a new wing come through as a SF. Perhaps Wells can be that wing.
