50% of me loves Nikola Jovic and the other 50% worries about him. His mechanics are very good, and he is what we have come to know of European players: tall, good mechanics, and good shooters. The part that worries me is his health. He has missed time already as a rookie and now in the following year, one of his legs is heavily strapped. He also doesn’t move as though he is 100% healthy. The shooting mechanics are very good; the general body mechanics while running are not as good.

For now, I will assume that I like his outlook. His shooting mechanics and shooting ability are good enough for me to be heavily invested. Miami is as good a place as any for a European to grow up. Not much talking is required to enjoy a good life in South Beach. Jovic was drafted late in the first round; however, he was young when drafted and has grown up in numerous ways since then…he is a lot taller now for starters.

If Jovic was drafted today, he would certainly be a lottery pick. If ppl saw him as a lottery pick, there would be much more buzz around his name. His lack of minutes in the current rotation is alarming, though…is it because of a lack of belief that he will stay healthy for the post-season that is the reason for management or coaching to invest his minutes in someone else instead?
