Mario Chalmers was a much better point guard to a Big 3 than Rajon Rondo was. Rondo heard one too many commentators refer to the Celtics as a Big 4. They weren’t a Big 4. The reason Rondo appeared to have so much value was because of the attention the other 3 drew. Without Allen, Pierce, and Garnett, Rondo doesn’t have that same value. And we’ve seen that once he left the Celtics.
