Precious Achiuwa has a chance to be an all-time great center for the Knicks. If he can play 5 healthy seasons, he could be in the top 10. The sky is the limit from there. Mitchell Robinson was meant to be that guy, but has had too many injuries now. Isaiah Hartenstein is having a good season, but it’s also a case of too little too late. The focus will soon shift to Achiuwa.

When Precious Achiuwa was traded to the Knicks, I said he had the chance to be their best center in decades — specifically, I was referring to since Ewing. He has taken a while to learn the system as you would expect, but over his last 2 games, he has played 40 and 43 minutes and scored 18 points in one game and grabbed 16 rebounds in the other. He can be the best center since Ewing. I’m a fan of Achiuwa. He’s undersized for a center, but his body is very well balanced which makes up for it.
