The Heat should look to sign Jonas Valanciunas only if he plays backup C on a team-friendly deal. He & Abebayo can’t stretch the floor enough if they’re on the floor at the same time. I am a risk taker. If Abedayo proves he has a 3-point shot this offseason, I’ll change my mind.
Adebayo started to shoot 3s in games toward the end of the 2023-24 regular season. We didn’t see much of it in the playoffs though. I do believe he has what it takes to develop a reliable 3-point shot. He just has to keep shooting them. Practice makes perfect.
