Carmelo Anthony, a 10-time NBA All-Star and six-time All-NBA selection, experienced several significant trades during his illustrious career. Here’s a chronological overview of his trade history:

February 22, 2011 – Denver Nuggets to New York Knicks

After months of speculation, Anthony was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the New York Knicks in a blockbuster three-team deal involving the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Knicks acquired Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter, and Renaldo Balkman. In return, the Nuggets received Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, a 2014 first-round pick, two second-round picks (2012 and 2013), and $3 million in cash. The Timberwolves received Eddy Curry, Anthony Randolph, and cash considerations.

September 25, 2017 – New York Knicks to Oklahoma City Thunder

Anthony was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott, and a 2018 second-round draft pick. This move aimed to bolster the Thunder’s roster alongside Russell Westbrook and Paul George.

July 25, 2018 – Oklahoma City Thunder to Atlanta Hawks (Three-Team Trade)

In a cost-cutting move, the Thunder traded Anthony to the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team deal that also involved the Philadelphia 76ers. The Hawks acquired Anthony, Justin Anderson, and a protected 2022 first-round pick, while the Thunder received Dennis Schröder and Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot. The 76ers received Mike Muscala. Anthony was subsequently waived by the Hawks.

January 22, 2019 – Houston Rockets to Chicago Bulls

After a brief stint with the Houston Rockets, Anthony was traded to the Chicago Bulls along with the rights to Jon Diebler and cash considerations. The Bulls waived Anthony shortly after the trade, making him a free agent.

Throughout his career, Anthony also had notable tenures with the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers, although these were not the result of trades but free-agent signings. His trades significantly impacted the teams involved and left a lasting legacy in the NBA.
