Notable: The Jazz had a challenging season, which led to a mid-season trade of Deron Williams to the New Jersey Nets (later Brooklyn Nets). Al Jefferson became the new focal point of the team. Paul Millsap, Mehmet Okur, and Andrei Kirilenko were key contributors, but the team missed the playoffs.
