Kevin Love’s NBA career has involved significant trades and transitions:

1. Draft Night Trade (2008): Kevin Love was selected fifth overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2008 NBA Draft. Shortly after, he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in an eight-player deal that sent O.J. Mayo to Memphis.

2. Trade to Cleveland Cavaliers (2014): On August 23, 2014, the Timberwolves traded Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a three-team deal. The Cavaliers received Love; the Timberwolves acquired Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, and Thaddeus Young; and the Philadelphia 76ers received Luc Mbah a Moute, Alexey Shved, and a 2015 first-round pick.

3. Buyout and Signing with Miami Heat (2023): After nine seasons with the Cavaliers, Love agreed to a contract buyout in February 2023. He then signed with the Miami Heat for the remainder of the 2022–23 season.
