Joel Embiid was shut down for the remainder of the year today. When I look at his stats, it looks like it’s the beginning of the end of his NBA career. Embiid has never had a healthy season. I believed in him at the start of this season as a player who could finally play a healthy year. However, it ended up being his worst year as a player to date. He’ll try to come back healthy for the start of the 2025-26 NBA Season. The 76ers are stuck with him. But if you’re in a fantasy league, look to avoid him. 3/1/2025

When Daryl Morey became the Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations, he made it clear that he thought Joel Embiid was a better player than James Harden. He also did that while Harden was still on the team. I was surprised by Morey doing both of those things. For Embiid to be better than Harden, he needs to play more games. With such a small sample size each season, it’s hard to gauge what he’s capable of. 1/23/2025
