Jerami Grant is one of the rare NBA players to break out outside the typical 3 to 4-year window. Grant broke out in his seventh season while playing for the OKC Thunder, a team he had already been on for two seasons before that breakout year. Grant has had even better seasons since, but he hasn’t had a healthy season since that initial breakout year in 2018-19. Most people accepted him as one of the better players in the league after his 2020-21 season when he averaged 22 points per game playing for the Pistons. But he only played 54 games that year, and that has been roughly his average since. 9/3/2024
